Event Photography All Creatures Great and Small
I was absolutely thrilled when I was asked to provide photography coverage for All Creatures Great and Small aboard the Wensleydale Railways. This classic re-enactment following the trials and experiences of the young North Yorkshire Veterinarian James Herriot told through his series of books about his life as a vet beginning from the 1930s in.
Set in the stunning Yorkshire Dales in the North of England which encompasses thousand of square miles of green majestic hills, babbling streams as well as quiet rural villages and gently rolling moors. Within its borders it boasts of 2 very specially protected areas which are the Yorkshire Dales National Parks and the Nidderdale area classed as an of Outstanding natural Beauty. Along with classic country pubs serving real ales and gourmet meals made with ingredients sourced from local producers it offers a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Visit the many ruined and accessible Castles many dating back from the Norman period or even visit the ruined Monasteries such as Fountains Abby or even Rievaulx Abby now managed and maintained by English Heritage all which began to fall into ruin during the reformation period.
You really do feel that you have been transported in time and that all your cares and worries have been gently lifted from your shoulders as you walk the along the many public paths breathing in fresh country air. As you gaze on the plethora of wildlife either on the wing or the hoof adds to the feeling of harmony and relaxation and being close to nature. No matter which season you visit it truly is a place for everyone and you can never ever tire of the Yorkshire Dales.
